What do you think of the beginning of my first chapter?

It's pretty interesting... but I don't see how the first line has anything to do with the rest of it. Of course, this is only the beginning of the chapter so you might be fitting it in. It definitely has caught my attention, and I'm wanting to know what happened to the girl in the hospital bed! And the overall writing is okay, just needs a little revision and everything.
